Sprout Social pricing in 2026 is per seat: Essentials at $79, Standard at $199, Professional at $299 and Advanced at $399 per seat per month on annual billing, plus a custom Enterprise quote. On month-to-month billing the same plans are $99, $249, $399 and $499 per seat per month. There is a 30-day free trial and no credit card is required. The number that matters most is not the price on the card but the seat count, because every person who logs in needs a seat.
We checked Sprout Social's pricing page on October 19, 2026, and every price and plan feature below comes from it. If you are weighing lighter tools against suites of this size, see our guide to lighter alternatives to big social suites like Hootsuite. This page sticks to what Sprout costs, what each plan includes, and whether Sprout is worth it for your team.
How Much Does Sprout Social Cost?
Sprout is priced per seat, per month, in US dollars. The pricing page header says "Annual billing", and the headline prices are the annual-billing rates. The pricing page FAQ also gives the monthly-billing (month-to-month) price for every plan. Annual billing requires one upfront payment for the whole term, and billing with multiple payments during a term does not get the same discount.

Prices checked October 2026.
All four priced plans include the Sprout mobile app for iOS and Android.
Essentials ($79 per seat per month): the new entry plan
Essentials is the newest tier, marked "NEW" on the page and described as made for social media professionals focused on simplifying publishing workflows. You connect up to 5 social profiles, get optimal send times, profile and post-level reporting, and Trellis, which Sprout calls its AI teammate.
The trade-off is what is left out. Essentials has no brand keywords, and the consolidated inbox and collaboration tools are listed under Standard, not Essentials. It fits one person who needs a polished publisher and reports. It does not fit a team that wants to work a shared inbox.
At $99 per seat per month billed monthly, Essentials costs $20 more per seat per month than the annual rate. Over 12 months that is $79 x 12 = $948 on annual billing against $99 x 12 = $1,188 on monthly billing, a gap of $240 per seat.
Standard ($199 per seat per month): the inbox plan
Standard is marked "Most popular" and described as perfect for small teams managing a few profiles across social networks. You still get 5 social profiles, but you add the consolidated inbox and collaboration tools, keyword and location monitoring, the Trellis AI agent and review management.
This is where Sprout becomes a team tool. It is also where Premium Analytics, Listening, Employee Advocacy and Professional Services become available as add-ons.
Professional ($299 per seat per month): unlimited profiles
Professional is the first plan with unlimited social profiles. It adds message tagging, extensive competitor, tag and paid insights, and Enhance Post by AI Assist. The price step from Standard is $100 per seat per month, so for a three-person team the profile cap alone is a $300 per month decision.
It fits teams and agencies with a lot of profiles and high engagement volume.
Advanced ($399 per seat per month): cross-functional teams
Advanced is built for cross-functional teams and workflows. On top of Professional it adds Enhance Reply by AI Assist, sentiment in the Smart Inbox and Reviews, the Sprout API and helpdesk integrations, team productivity and social customer care reports, and message spike alerts. It also raises brand keywords per group from 10 to 20.
If you do not need the API, helpdesk integrations or customer care reporting, Advanced is hard to justify.
Enterprise (custom): SSO and onboarding
Enterprise is a custom plan for large-scale social operations. It adds white-glove onboarding and implementation, a plan tailored to the business, dedicated SSO setup and priority customer support. There is no listed price, so you schedule a demo to get one.
Hidden Costs and Limits to Check Before You Buy
The table is the starting point. These are the details that move the bill.
- Seats scale the whole price. Every plan is priced per seat. A team of eight who all need to log in pays eight times the rate, not one rate with eight users.
- The profile cap sits on the cheaper plans. Essentials and Standard list 5 social profiles. Unlimited profiles start at Professional, $100 per seat more than Standard.
- Add-ons are separate and unpriced. The pricing page lists these add-ons: Premium Analytics and Listening (each available individually on Standard and up), Employee Advocacy (Standard and up), and Professional Services (Standard and up, with multiple package levels). None shows a price. You get a number through a demo.
- Influencer Marketing is a separate product. The page says no Sprout plan is required, and it lists paying creator fees as part of the offer.
- AI is metered per seat. Every user gets 100 Trellis credits per month in the base plan, and the credits reset monthly. Credit use depends on prompt complexity and how much data Trellis retrieves.
- Trellis Plus is a possible extra. If 100 credits a month is not enough, Trellis Plus adds more AI for $28 per user per month on annual billing or $35 per user per month on monthly billing. For five seats that is $28 x 5 = $140 per month on annual billing, or $35 x 5 = $175 per month on monthly billing, on top of the plan price.
- Monthly billing costs more on every plan. Month-to-month is $99, $249, $399 and $499 per seat, against $79, $199, $299 and $399 on annual billing. That is $20 to $100 more per seat per month. Annual billing needs one upfront payment for the whole term, and paying in several installments during a term does not get the same discount.
- Brand keywords are limited. None on Essentials, 10 per group on Standard and Professional, 20 on Advanced. If you want monitoring beyond that, Listening is the add-on.
- Contract terms are not on the page. Mid-contract seat changes, renewal terms and price increases are not in the plan table. The pricing page has FAQs on changing your plan and on payment options, so ask sales for the written terms.
What Does Sprout Social Cost for Your Team?
Here is the arithmetic for common team sizes, using the annual-billing rates unless stated otherwise.
One person on Essentials: $79 x 1 seat = $79 per month, $79 x 12 = $948 per year.
Three seats on Essentials: $79 x 3 = $237 per month, $237 x 12 = $2,844 per year.
Three seats on Standard: $199 x 3 = $597 per month, $597 x 12 = $7,164 per year. This is the realistic entry point for a three-person team that needs a shared inbox.
Three seats on Standard, monthly billing: $249 x 3 = $747 per month, $747 x 12 = $8,964 per year. On annual billing the same three seats cost $597 per month and $7,164 per year, so month-to-month costs $150 more per month and $1,800 more over 12 months.
Five seats on Professional: $299 x 5 = $1,495 per month, $1,495 x 12 = $17,940 per year. This is a team or agency with enough profiles to outgrow the 5-profile cap.
Five seats on Advanced: $399 x 5 = $1,995 per month, $1,995 x 12 = $23,940 per year. Add the API and customer care reporting for a larger, cross-functional team.
A two-person agency team on Professional: $299 x 2 = $598 per month, $598 x 12 = $7,176 per year. If you manage more than 5 client profiles, Standard is not enough, so Professional is the starting point.
These totals leave out Enterprise, add-ons, Trellis Plus and any Professional Services package, since Enterprise and the add-ons have no published price. Treat each figure as a floor, not a quote.
Is There a Sprout Social Free Trial or Free Plan?
There is a free trial, not a free plan. The pricing page headline is "Try Sprout free for 30 days", with "No credit card required" underneath. Each paid plan has its own "Start your free trial" button, so you start a trial on a specific plan.
When the 30 days end, you are asked to pick a plan and enter payment details. If you would rather not start a trial, you can request a free customized demo instead. Enterprise goes through a demo request.
Use the 30 days like a test. Connect the profiles you really manage, bring in at least two teammates so you feel the seat model, and check whether you ever open the features that separate Standard from Professional.
Sprout Social for Teams and Agencies
Sprout has an agencies page, and its plans include collaboration tools from Standard up. But the pricing page does not publish agency discounts, and the FAQ on nonprofit pricing exists without a rate we can quote. If you manage client accounts, ask Sprout for the agency terms in writing.
For an agency, three things decide the bill:
- How many seats you need. Everyone who publishes, approves or answers messages needs a login.
- How many client profiles you connect. More than 5 means Professional, so $299 per seat per month.
- Whether you need the API and helpdesk integrations. Those are on Advanced at $399 per seat per month.
Sprout is a strong team product. The cost grows linearly with headcount, which is the right design for large social teams and the point to model carefully for a lean one.
Sprout Social Review: What It Does Well
Sprout Social is a polished, multi-network suite. The pricing page lists Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest and TikTok as integrations, and the feature list reads like a social operations department in one product.
- Inbox and customer care. The consolidated inbox, review management, sentiment, helpdesk integrations and customer care reporting are built for teams that answer people on social all day.
- Listening and analytics add-ons. Premium Analytics and Listening add depth for brand monitoring, benchmarking and shareable stakeholder reports.
- Cross-network reporting. Competitor, tag and paid insights across networks in one place.
- Employee Advocacy and Professional Services. If you want a program around employee sharing, or hands-on strategy help, they are on the menu.
- A clear ladder up to Enterprise. SSO setup, onboarding and priority support exist for larger organizations.
- A mobile app on every plan.
- A real trial. 30 days with no credit card is long enough to test properly.
If your work is brand social across several networks, with an inbox, reviews and reporting that has to satisfy a boss or a client, this is why people pay for Sprout.
Sprout Social Review: Where It Falls Short for LinkedIn-First Teams
None of these are flaws for every buyer. They are the questions a LinkedIn-first B2B team up to about 200 people should ask.
- Per-seat scaling. The price is the seat rate times the number of seats. A team where several people write, review and publish for their own profiles pays for each of them, and the totals above show how fast that adds up.
- A 5-profile cap on the cheaper plans. Essentials and Standard list 5 social profiles. The page does not say how LinkedIn personal profiles and company pages are counted against that number.
- Most of the depth is for other jobs. Listening, review management, customer care reports and helpdesk integrations are valuable, but a team that mostly wants to publish good LinkedIn content may pay for a lot it does not open.
- Add-ons have no public price. Listening, Premium Analytics and Employee Advocacy require a conversation, so budgeting takes a sales call.
- AI that is not described as personal. The pricing page names Trellis, Enhance Post by AI Assist and Enhance Reply by AI Assist, and it lists 100 monthly AI agent credits per seat. It does not describe AI trained on each person's own writing, which is the thing a team of founders and executives posting under their own names usually needs.
- Some reviewers report slow support replies. Some reviewers on public review sites mention slow account-manager responses. We cannot verify that, so treat it as a prompt to ask about support terms, not as a fact.
Is Sprout Social Worth It in 2026?
It depends on who is buying.
- Solo professional publishing across networks: Essentials at $79 is the entry point for a polished scheduler with reporting and AI help. Worth it if you value Sprout's interface and reports. Not obviously worth it if you only post on one network.
- Small team of three with a shared inbox: Standard at $199 per seat is the real plan, $7,164 a year for three seats. Worth it if the inbox, reviews and monitoring are things you use daily. Questionable if the team mostly drafts and schedules.
- Agency with many client profiles: Professional at $299 per seat, because of the 5-profile cap on Standard. Worth it if your clients need cross-network reporting and your team works an inbox. Ask for agency terms first.
- Enterprise social or customer care team: Advanced or Enterprise is the sensible route, for the API, helpdesk integrations, SSO and onboarding. This is the buyer Sprout is clearly built for.
- LinkedIn-first B2B team up to 200 people: Worth a trial if you also run brand channels, listening or customer care. Weigh carefully if the main job is getting several people to publish consistently on LinkedIn in their own voices.
Is Sprout Social worth the money? For social teams that live in the inbox and the reports, yes. For a team whose real work is writing, it is a lot of suite around a smaller need.
When Postiv Is the Better Fit
Sprout is a broad social media management suite. Postiv is built for LinkedIn-first teams and agencies that need content made in each person's own voice, with the workflow around it. LinkedIn comes first, with X as a second channel.
- Writing in each person's voice. Bob, Postiv's AI content partner, plans the posting week with one idea per slot, tied to content pillars, sources and last week's results. It then drafts posts and carousels in each LinkedIn profile's own writing style, using that profile's knowledge base.
- Content creation built in. Posts, carousels, images and infographics on your brand, with an editor, so there is no round trip to a design tool. The knowledge base pulls in your website, documents, YouTube, Notion and newsletters.
- Client workspaces and approval links. Each client gets a separate workspace with their own profiles, company pages, brand kit and writing styles. Clients review each post as it will look on LinkedIn through an approval link, with no Postiv account needed. See client workspaces for agencies.
- Team management. Every profile and company page lives in one workspace, with roles, approvers per profile and a Team Hub.
- Engagement and analytics. Every comment on every profile in one inbox, plus a feed of people you want to reach. Reach, engagement and followers per post and per profile are in Postiv analytics, and our LinkedIn analytics page goes deeper.
- Official API, no automation. Postiv publishes to LinkedIn personal profiles and company pages through LinkedIn's official API. There is no Chrome extension, no browser automation and no automated connection requests or DMs.
- MCP and API. A hosted LinkedIn MCP server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code, and there is a public REST API.

More Questions
How much does Sprout Social listening cost?
Sprout does not publish a price for Listening. The pricing page lists Listening as an individual add-on to the Standard plan and up, and the way to get a number is to schedule a demo. Premium Analytics, Employee Advocacy and Professional Services are also add-ons without a published price.
How much is a Sprout subscription?
A Sprout subscription is $79, $199, $299 or $399 per seat per month depending on the plan (Essentials, Standard, Professional, Advanced) on annual billing, or $99, $249, $399 or $499 per seat per month on monthly billing. Multiply by the number of seats and by 12 for the yearly figure. Enterprise has no listed price.
How many social profiles does each Sprout plan include?
Essentials and Standard include 5 social profiles. Professional and Advanced include unlimited social profiles. The pricing page does not explain how a LinkedIn personal profile and a LinkedIn company page are counted, so confirm that with Sprout before you size a plan.
How do Sprout Social AI credits work?
Every user gets 100 Trellis credits per month in the base plan, and the credits reset monthly. How many credits an action uses depends on the complexity of the prompt and how much data Trellis retrieves. If you need more AI, Trellis Plus costs $28 per user per month on annual billing or $35 per user per month on monthly billing.
Is Sprout Social cheaper with annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is $79, $199, $299 and $399 per seat per month for Essentials, Standard, Professional and Advanced. Monthly billing, which is month-to-month, is $99, $249, $399 and $499. Annual billing requires one upfront payment for the whole term. Billing with multiple payments during a term does not get the same discount. The gap is $20, $50, $100 and $100 per seat per month, so three Standard seats cost $597 a month on annual billing against $747 a month on monthly billing.
