Agencies and client workspaces
Run a separate Postiv workspace for each client, switch between them in one click and keep billing in one place.

If you manage LinkedIn for clients, an agency plan gives each client their own workspace: their own profiles, drafts, knowledge, brand and calendar, kept apart from everyone else's. You and your team move between workspaces with a switcher, and the agency pays for all of it on one plan.
How it fits together
- Your agency workspace is your home base. It is where your agency team works day to day.
- Client workspaces are separate workspaces that belong to the agency's plan. Each client gets one.
- Agency team members can open every client workspace without being added to each one and without using a seat there.
- Billing stays with the agency. Inside a client workspace, the plan page reads This plan is managed by your agency, followed by your agency's name, for anyone who cannot manage billing.
Create a client workspace
You need to be an Agency Admin to create client workspaces.
- Look at the bottom of the sidebar. The workspace switcher shows the name of the workspace you are in.
- Click it to open the list.
- Click Create Client Organization.
- Enter an Organization Name.
- Click Create Organization.
Postiv creates the workspace, adds you to it as Agency Admin and switches you into it straight away. You can also start from Settings, Organisation & Team, and click Add New Organization.
If your plan includes a fixed number of workspaces and all of them are in use, Postiv says All paid workspaces are in use. Add workspace capacity before creating another client workspace. The Workspace usage badge on Organisation & Team shows how many you are using, for example 3 / 5. Your agency workspace counts as one.
Switch between workspaces
- Click the workspace name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Pick a workspace from Your Organizations or Agency Clients. Client workspaces carry a Client label.
You land on the same page in the new workspace, for example Analytics stays on Analytics. An Agency label appears next to the name when the workspace belongs to an agency.
Everyone on the agency team sees all client workspaces under Agency Clients, whatever their role in the agency. Inside a client workspace they have the same access as an admin.
Set up a client workspace
Do this for each new client, from inside their workspace.
- Fill in the organization foundation: business, audience, competitors and brand kit.
- Connect the client's LinkedIn profile or company page. See Manage several LinkedIn profiles.
- Add the client's own material in Knowledge.
- Set up the profile foundation for each profile.
- If the client approves posts, add Approvers. See Approvals.
In a client workspace, Settings, LinkedIn Accounts may say Managed by your agency's name. On plans with workspaces, it says your agency team can connect and manage LinkedIn accounts directly in this workspace. On seat-based agency plans, clients connect their own accounts through their workspace.
Invite client team members
Your client's own people can have their own logins to the workspace.
- Open Settings, then Organisation & Team.
- Under Organizations, find the client and click Invite.
- Enter their email, choose Member or Admin and click Send Invitation.
Under Client Organizations, click a client's name to expand it. You see their members and pending invitations. On plans with workspaces, member seats are unlimited. On seat-based plans, the card shows seats used, for example 1 / 2 seats, and you click Assign or Remove for each person.
Agency admins in a client workspace show Auto-access instead of a seat. They never need one.
A client member without a seat sees a Seat Required page that explains their agency controls access. Assign them a seat and it works straight away.
Tips
- Name workspaces after the client, not the project. It makes the switcher easy to scan.
- Check the workspace name before you publish. It is always visible at the bottom of the sidebar.
Common questions
Do my agency team members need a seat for each client?
No. Agency team members use a seat in the agency workspace only, if the plan uses seats. In client workspaces they have automatic access. See Invite members and manage seats.
Can a client see other clients?
No. Clients only see their own workspace. Only agency team members see Agency Clients.
Who pays for a client workspace?
The agency, on its plan. Clients do not have a separate subscription.
