Create a carousel

Ask Bob for a LinkedIn carousel, pick a design, fine-tune it in the editor and download it as a PDF or schedule it.

A carousel is a swipeable PDF made of pages that your audience flips through on LinkedIn. Bob writes the text, you choose the design, and the editor lets you change anything afterwards. Each page is a portrait 1080 by 1350 pixels.

  1. Click New chat in the sidebar and ask for a carousel. Give Bob a topic, who it is for and what you want readers to do at the end.
  2. Bob writes the proposed text page by page (headline, supporting copy and a closing call to action) and waits. Reply with changes, or say it looks good.
  3. Bob shows a card called Choose a carousel style. Click the design you like. Designs are labelled Your default, Postiv library or Your saved template. Click Show more styles to see more.
  4. Bob builds the carousel and opens it in the editor on the right. While Bob is working, the editor is locked and shows AI is editing · temporarily locked. Bob builds up to 10 pages.

You can also start from a post you already have. Open the post, and in the dashed area under the preview click Generate Carousel. Bob turns the post into a carousel.

Pick a design once Bob has shown you the text.

Ask Bob for changes

Stay in the same chat and describe the change: "make the hook punchier", "shorten page 4", "swap the last page for a question". Bob knows which page you have open in the editor, so you can say "this page" and he edits the one you are looking at. While Bob is editing, wait for the lock to clear before you click around.

Edit it yourself

Click any text or image on a page to edit it directly.
  1. Click any text on a page to edit it, or click an image to move, resize or replace it.
  2. Use the panels along the top: Templates, Elements, Text, Uploads, Brand Kit, Layers and Properties. Click a panel name again to close it.
  3. Use the buttons beside each page to move it up or down, duplicate it or delete it. Click Add page at the end to add another.
  4. Use Undo and Redo if you change your mind. Click Fullscreen for more room.

Edits save automatically.

Switch to a different design

  1. Open the Templates panel.
  2. Click a design under Postiv library · For everyone or Organization templates.
  3. In Switch template? choose Keep my text (Postiv moves your text into the new design) or Use template content (replaces your pages with the template's sample pages).
  4. Confirm with Magic apply or Replace carousel. You can undo it afterwards.

To reuse a finished design, type a name under Save as Custom Template in the same panel and click Save as Custom Template. It then appears under Organization templates and in Bob's style picker as Your saved template.

Use your brand

The Brand Kit panel gives you your colors, fonts and logo to drop onto a page. Under it, Add profile branding adds your photo, name and call to action to the current page, and Add to all slides does it for every page. Set up the kit itself in Settings, under Brand Kit.

Download, copy or schedule

  • PDF in the editor header (the download icon, titled Download PDF) downloads the carousel. You will see "Preparing PDF…", then "Downloaded". If the download fails, see Carousel export issues.
  • Make a copy (the copy icon) duplicates the carousel so you can try a variation. Confirm in Make a copy?.
  • Schedule opens the scheduling window. Pick a profile, date and time. LinkedIn needs text with every carousel, so write a caption in Post Content first. A scheduled carousel is published as a document. See Schedule posts.

Your carousel is also saved under Drafts, in the Carousels filter.

Tips

  • Give Bob the real numbers, examples and phrases you want on the pages. A carousel full of specifics performs better than one of generalities.
  • One idea per page. If a page feels crowded, ask Bob to split it.
  • End with one clear action, such as save, comment or share.

Common questions

How many pages can I have?

Bob builds up to 10 pages. In the editor you can add more with Add page, up to 30 in total.

Why can't I type in the editor?

Bob is still editing, or the post is already scheduled. Wait for the AI is editing · temporarily locked message to disappear, or unschedule the post first.
