Find inspiration and use it in a post
Search real LinkedIn posts, follow creators, save favorites and hand a post to Bob as a starting point.

Inspiration is a library of high-performing LinkedIn posts you can search, filter and learn from. When something catches your eye, one click sends it to Bob, who uses it as a starting point for a new post in your own voice.
Discover posts
Open Inspiration in the sidebar. The Discover tab shows a feed of posts that fit the profile you are writing as.
- Pick the profile you are writing as in the profile picker at the top (it is titled Writing as). The feed and your followed creators are tied to this profile.
- Type a topic or a person in Search keyword, person....
- Choose how to order the feed with the sort menu: Virality, Date, Trending or Outperforming.
- Use the quick buttons next to it. Saved shows only your bookmarks, Following shows only creators you follow, and Outliers shows posts that got at least 3ร their creator's usual engagement.
- Click Filters to open the filter panel and narrow things down (see below).
Use the filter panel
The panel on the right has these sections:
- Followed Creators: the people you follow for this profile. Click a name to see only their posts.
- Type: Educational, Promotional, Personal or Current Events.
- Format: Image, Video, Carousel or Text.
- Creator Size: how many followers the author has.
- Likes and Comments: minimum and maximum engagement.
- Time range: 1D, 7D, 30D, 3M, 12M or All.
Click Reset at the top of the panel to clear everything.
Search LinkedIn when the library is thin
If you search for a topic the library covers poorly, a banner says The library has little on this yet. Click Search LinkedIn and Postiv looks for the best matching posts, ranks them and shows the top results as they arrive. Every new post it finds is added to the library for next time.
Follow creators
Following people you admire keeps their posts easy to find.
- Open the Followed Creators section in the filter panel.
- Check that Following for shows the right profile.
- Paste a LinkedIn profile address, such as
linkedin.com/in/username, and click the+button.
You can also click Follow on any post card. To stop following someone, hover over their name in the list and click the x, or click Unfollow on a card.
Save a post and teach the feed
Each post card has a row of buttons at the bottom:
- The bookmark button saves the post. Find it again with Saved.
- The thumbs up (Show me more like this) and thumbs down (Show me less like this) tune what the feed shows you next.
- View original post (the small arrow on the card) opens it on LinkedIn.
Send a post to Bob
- Find a post you like.
- Click Use in post at the bottom right of the card.
- Postiv opens a new chat with the post attached. Tell Bob what angle you want, for example "Write this for my audience, with my own story."
Bob learns the structure and the idea, then writes in your voice. It does not copy the original. See Write a text post for what happens next.
Organize creators into groups
Use Creator groups (the second tab at the top of Inspiration) to keep a set of people together, such as competitors, a company's employees or favorite writers.
- Click Creator groups, then Create group.
- Give the group a name. Add a website and description if you like.
- Under LinkedIn profiles, pick people you already follow or paste personal profile addresses, one per line.
- Click Create group.
Open a group to read all its posts in one feed. You can search the posts, filter by date range, sort by Newest first or Most engagement, and click Refresh posts to ask for fresh ones (available about once an hour). Edit group changes the members, and Delete group removes only the group, not the posts or the creators you follow.
Tips
- Start with Outliers. These are posts that beat their own author's average, so the idea mattered more than the follower count.
- Set Creator Size to a range close to your own following. Advice from a 500,000 follower account may not transfer.
- Thumbs up and down is the quickest way to train the feed. A few clicks makes a noticeable difference.
Common questions
Does Postiv copy the post I send to Bob?
No. Bob uses the post as inspiration for structure and angle and writes new text in your voice. Always review the draft before you schedule it.
Why do I need to pick a profile?
Following and the feed's personalization are tied to one LinkedIn profile or company page. Switch with the Writing as picker. If you manage several profiles, see Manage several LinkedIn profiles.
Why can't I follow a creator?
Following needs a connected LinkedIn profile or page to follow for. If the panel says Select a LinkedIn profile or page, connect one first in Connect LinkedIn.
