Integrations, API key and webhooks
Create an API key, connect Notion and send a webhook every time a post goes live.

The Integrations tab is where Postiv talks to the rest of your tools. You can create an API key for your own automations, connect Notion, and set up webhooks that fire when a post is published. Connecting Claude or ChatGPT lives here too, and has its own guide: Connect Postiv to your AI tools.
Open it from Settings, then Integrations.
Create an API key
Your organization API key lets trusted automations read and write in your workspace, for example to add knowledge, create and schedule draft posts, read cached analytics or work with Engage comments. It is also what tools like Claude Code and Cursor use to connect.
- Open Settings, then Integrations.
- Scroll to Public API.
- Click Generate API Key.
- Click the eye icon to show the key, and the copy icon to copy it.
- Paste it into your tool and keep it out of shared documents and screenshots.
If your workspace already has a key, the field is filled in (hidden) and you see Regenerate Key, Edit Scopes and View API Docs instead of Generate API Key.
Only workspace admins can manage the key. Everyone else sees Admin Access Required over the section.
Choose what the key can do
Every key has scopes, which are the areas it can reach. Your current scopes are listed under Current scopes.
- Click Edit Scopes.
- Switch individual permissions on or off, such as Read posts, Schedule posts or Read analytics.
- Click Save Scopes. Changes apply immediately. At least one scope must stay on.
When new permissions ship, an Upgrade permissions button appears with the number of missing scopes. Click it to add them to the same key without changing its value.
Replace a key
Click Regenerate Key if a key leaks or you want a fresh one. The old key stops working immediately, so every automation or AI tool using it needs the new value.
Read the API docs
Click View API Docs, or go to postiv.ai/api-documentation, for the full list of endpoints and tools.
Connect Notion
The Notion Integration section links your Notion workspace so you can import pages.
- Under Notion Integration, click Connect Notion.
- Choose your workspace and approve access in Notion.
- Back in Postiv, the card shows your workspace name and Active.
Use Reconnect to refresh access, or Disconnect to remove the link.
Send a webhook when a post goes live
Webhooks let another system know the moment a post is published. Each one is a Post Publication Webhook (marked Beta).
- Under Webhooks, click Add Webhook.
- Give it a Webhook Name and paste your Endpoint URL. It must start with
https://. - Copy the Signing Secret and store it safely. Use it to check that requests really come from Postiv. Tick Use custom secret if you prefer your own.
- Click Create Webhook.
- Click Test next to your webhook. The Webhook Test Result window shows the HTTP status and your endpoint's response. The sample payload is mock data.
Postiv sends a POST request to your URL each time a post is published. To stop, click the bin icon on the webhook.
Other connections
- LinkedIn profiles and company pages are managed under LinkedIn Accounts. See Connect your LinkedIn account.
- Slack is set up in the Team Hub, under Slack & Bob.
Common questions
I lost my API key. Can I see it again?
Yes. Open Public API, click the eye icon to show it and the copy icon to copy it. If you think it was exposed, click Regenerate Key instead.
My automation stopped working after I regenerated the key.
That is expected. The old key stops working the moment you regenerate. Paste the new key into every tool that used the old one.
My webhook test failed.
Check that the Endpoint URL is public and starts with https://. The Webhook Test Result shows the HTTP status your server returned, which usually points to the cause.
Why don't I see Generate API Key?
Only admins can create a key. Ask your workspace owner or an admin to do it, or to share a key with you.
